ONE OF THE OLDEST TOWNS IN CROATIA
Stari Grad (literally translated in English “Old Town“), is actually one of the oldest towns in Croatia, and even one of the oldest in Europe. It is located on the north-western side of the island of Hvar, relatively close to the little settlement Vrboska, resting at the very end of a long, well-protected bay. During your sailing holidays in Croatia, make sure to pay it a visit!
The town is the main ferry port and the historical heart of Hvar island. Its most ancient part, the Stari Grad Plain, is a UNESCO Protected World Heritage Site, while the entire municipality lies within the buffer zone.
